Amazing happened...at ALC today! After the countless days and hours of hard work by so many incredible ALC Lifers, the premier Worship Experience at our new location is now history. If you have never experienced the ministry of Royce Wilson, you will not want to miss this weekend at ALC! Royce will minister at the School of Worship on the ALC Campus at 10:00 AM on Saturday. This ministry moment is open to everyone and will be life changing. Royce will do in-depth teaching from the Word of God.
Evangelist Royce Wilson was one of the featured speakers at a recent ministers conference with over 3000 in attendance. He is one of the leading voices in America on living a Spirit-led life. My friend of many years, Pastor Scott Jones of Grace Church (Houston, TX), will help ALC launch 2009! He is a Pastor and leader of thousands, including Grammy Award winning singer, Israel Houghton. Scott and Melanie Jones are among the most influential Christian leaders in America. ALC...we will be blessed this weekend! Let's gather together and allow God to raise our corporate vision to another level!
Pastor Scott and Melanie started in youth ministry and advanced to various administrative and executive positions ministry. His responsibilities have ranged from public relations with the tourism bureau and media to serving as liaison between national and state-wide politicians and the Christian community. He has been privileged to interact with state governors and state and U.S. Senators. Additionally, Pastor Scott holds a degree in theology and is a Certified Christian Counselor. His ministry has taken him to several countries, speaking to audiences ranging from eight to eight thousand. He and his wife, Melanie, are the proud of two beautiful children, Spencer and Savannah.

Today, I have been reflecting about the recent amazing ALC Worship Experiences. Our inspirational DREAM statement concludes with our vision to experience the "manifest presence of God" at every gathering. It has been apparent that the Spirit of God has been available to His people in an authentic way.
This past weekend, we were blessed with record attendance and powerful baptism experiences. I will never forget the beautiful public confession that one of our baptismal candidates had written to precede her baptism. In fact, we are thinking about asking every future candidate to write a short public confession to be read preceding baptism. That would be absolutely powerful...don't you think?
This past Sunday was truly historic! From the opening worship song to the closing prayer, we experienced God in fresh ways. Pastor Anthony Mangun challenged us to consecrate our homes. I have received heart-warming reports about the special time of communion that our ALC Lifer's have had with their families this week. I strongly encourage each of you to connect your home to what God is doing in the church by leading your family in a time of consecration and communion. (You can pick up communion supplies at the Information Center at ALC) I believe we are experiencing a colossal shift in the spiritual climate of our church family. I am confident that this weekend's events will lead us even closer to our divine destiny! I'd love to see you and your family at our Prayer Gathering on Saturday (@noon) and on Sunday for Worship. Bishop T.F. Tenney will be our guest speaker.

"The light that shines the farthest, shines the brightest at home!"
I am always inspired at the sight of a lighthouse. Every structure has a unique story. My mind always wanders... Who was the keeper of the lighthouse? How many ships were lost before the lighthouse was built? How many ships were saved from the hidden rocks?
In 1996, I visited this lighthouse with our family. This historic structure is located 50 miles south of San Francisco. Pigeon Point Light Station is one of the most beautiful lighthouse structures on the Pacific Coast. It was built in 1872 as a beacon for mariners coming to San Francisco and is one of the oldest remaining lighthouses on the West Coast. Its architecture is so stunning that many famous lighthouses, such as Saint Augustine in Florida, were modeled after the 115-foot structure. Over 500,000 bricks were used to build this lighthouse!
This week, as Miquell and I were touring the Pacific Coast, we visited this lighthouse again. As I drove down the famous Pacific Coast Highway, I never imagined, even for one second, that I would arrive and find this 115-foot structure erased from the skyline. I knew it would still be there! It has been faithfully standing for 136 years.
The "Pastor" heart in me can't help but make the obvious spiritual parallel. The 'lighthouse" we are privileged to lead is a beacon for all of North Dallas and beyond. The structure is stronger than ever. Its character of grace and passion to guide weary vessels to a safe harbor are stunning. The number of "solid rock folks" who have willingly allowed God to insert them into the miraculous mortar of this ALC "lighthouse" number in the thousands.
ALC...I have never been more confident that our best days are ahead! Our story has just begun to be written. The "light" from your tower has penetrated all of our hearts. Your "light" is revealing ancient truth to a new generation of seekers. You have never been more Apostolic than you are right now!
Galatians 6:9-10 reminds us all of a promise...
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, especially to those who belong to the family of believers.
ALC Lifer's...we are going to see a harvest of revival and a supernatural demonstration of His Spirit like we've never even dreamed because we've never given up on doing good to all people! Stand tall, ALC! Our brightest and best days are ahead! It is still true...the light that shines the farthest, shines the brightest at home!
